The onset of globalization has triggered off a change in the life of the people through planning process. With the private sector starting to play a key role in infrastructure development, planning has shifted from being merely a long-term, often non-remunerative exercise, to a financially viable and implementable proposition.Public-private integration in urban infrastructure is another key aspect of the changed planning process. In the wake of these changes, Planners Koncept, through its Urban and Regional Planning department, continues to play a pioneering role in carrying out benchmark studies for provisions of development of infrastructure in existing settlements, up gradation of infrastructure and facilities.

This has involved diversification from the traditional planning approach in the formulation of structural and zonal plans to more innovative & remunerative ventures including large-scale infrastructure development.
